Design Inspiration
I’ve always wondered whether copying a design was right or wrong.
For example, you’re browsing Trashy, and you see a design of lingerie that you love. The designs are often copyrighted, right? If we copy it in a doll, is it theft? Does it make us antagonistic, as if we were making traced bases?

Hi, beags. Innal but: It is defiantly not wrong to do this in a legal sense. Check out this post http://www.expertbusinesssource.com/blog/720000272/post/700011870.html
Also, if clothing was able to be copyrighted, and people couldn’t make derivative works, that would make it very hard to make a fashion magazine or tabloid, or any photograph that included designer clothes
But I know that you mean ‘is it theft’ like ’should we frown on this in the dolling community’.
I don’t think that we should. If we get too far into anti-art-theft navel gazing we are more likely to stifle creativity than breed it by creating a restrictive atmosphere where people worry that they will be shunned.
People can’t be expected to invent a new genre of art with never before seen outfits, colors, and poses every time they make something.
